On Saturday night at mohegan Sun Arena Delvin Rodriguez held off Shawn Cameron by ten round unanimous decision in the main event of a seven bout pro-am show presented by Star Boxing.

Delvin Rodriguez, 153.25lbs, of Danbury CT kept the pressure on Shawn Cameron, 153.5lbs, of Brooklyn, NY throughout the 10 rounder, recovering from a dubious "slip" in round seven that should have been called a knockdown. Recovering well, Rodriguez battled back in the final three rounds to secure the decision. The southpaw Cameron, a two-tour veteran of the US war against Iraq, gave a solid effort but was unable to overcome the consistent left jab-right hand blasts of Rodriguez.
